Content reviewed: 20 October 2026 · Original Vietnamese policy date: 4 September 2026

Duong Tri Law (Công ty Luật TNHH Dương Trí và Cộng Sự) is the firm receiving enquiries through this website and the contact channels shown here. This policy covers the information you provide when contacting us and information processed through the website. For a privacy question or request, go directly to section 10.

1. Definitions

Personal data is information that identifies or helps identify an individual.

Basic personal data includes identifying and contact information and marital status. Marital status is listed as basic personal data in Article 3(8) of Decree No. 356/2025/NĐ-CP.

Sensitive personal data includes health information, political opinions, biometric data, and personal or family secrets as specified by law. The classification of information in a legal file depends on its actual content. Professional confidentiality obligations also apply to information received in legal work.

2. Information we collect

Contact forms

The contact forms ask for a telephone number, an email address and a brief message; your name is optional. Required fields are marked in the form. The forms are configured to store submitted details in the website’s form system and send email notifications to the receiving inbox and the email address entered in the form.

Please provide only the information needed for an initial enquiry. Before sending identity documents, confidential files or sensitive information, ask us to confirm an appropriate channel.

Email and messaging

If you contact us by email, WhatsApp, WeChat or Zalo, your message and the information you choose to send are handled through that channel. The relevant service provider also processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Website statistics and tags

The website has WP Statistics configured to mask and hash IP addresses. Its setting to store the full browser user-agent string is off. These settings concern website statistics; contact-form messages and email exchanges are handled separately.

The website also includes Google Tag Manager, a Google service for managing website tags. Information about Google’s handling of data is available in Google’s privacy policy. For questions about website tags or the technical information associated with your visit, use the privacy contact in section 10.

External links and browser choices

Using WhatsApp, WeChat, Zalo or Google Maps takes you to services provided by third parties. Review the provider’s privacy information before submitting information through those services. You can review and delete stored cookies through your browser settings; blocking cookies may affect some website functions.

3. How we use information

  • To receive and respond to your enquiry and clarify the legal support you are seeking.
  • To contact you about that enquiry or an agreed legal service.
  • To handle information needed for the scope of legal work agreed with you.
  • To support website operation and website statistics.
  • To receive and address privacy questions and requests.
  • To perform applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.

Submitting a legal enquiry is separate from signing up for marketing communications.

4. Grounds for processing

Personal data must be processed for a specific, stated purpose and with consent where Vietnamese law requires it. Processing without consent must fall within a circumstance expressly permitted by law and meet the relevant conditions and safeguards.

Carrying out an agreement or protecting lawful rights and interests does not provide a general permission to use all personal data for any purpose. The legal conditions for the relevant activity still apply.

5. Sharing and professional confidentiality

The website’s form system and email notifications support the receipt and handling of enquiries. The firm uses enquiry and client information to respond to the request and carry out the relevant work. Internal access or sharing with a service provider must be limited to the relevant purpose and subject to applicable duties to protect personal data.

Providing information to a competent authority or another party must have a lawful basis and comply with the applicable conditions. Email, website hosting and any external service used for a particular interaction are separate parts of the information flow.

Information relating to a client’s legal matter is subject to applicable lawyers’ professional confidentiality obligations. Disclosure must respect those obligations and the exceptions permitted by law.

6. How long information is retained

Website statistics: WP Statistics currently has scheduled maintenance of older data configured with a 180-day threshold. This setting concerns the statistics tool and does not define retention for contact-form records, emails or legal files.

Enquiries and legal work: the contact forms are configured to retain submitted records. The applicable retention criteria include the purpose of the enquiry, whether it forms part of an agreed legal service, and any legal obligation to keep information for proceedings or another statutory purpose.

To ask about the retention of particular information, or request its deletion, email the contact in section 10 and identify the channel through which you provided it. A deletion request is considered under the conditions and exceptions in applicable law.

7. Protecting information

The website uses HTTPS for the connection between your browser and the website. Please check that you are using https://luatduongtri.vn before entering contact details.

For an initial enquiry, send a brief summary. Ask us to confirm how to share any identity document, confidential file or sensitive information needed for a specific matter. Do not send passwords or online account access details through the contact form.

No online system can guarantee complete security. Professional confidentiality obligations and the protection of the systems used to handle information must both be considered.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable legal conditions and procedures, you may ask about the processing of your personal data; give, refuse or withdraw consent; view or request correction of data; request access to, deletion of or limits on processing; object to processing; lodge complaints, report violations, bring legal proceedings, seek compensation and request protective measures from competent authorities.

To make a request, say what you would like us to do and, if relevant, which channel you previously used to contact us. Do not send identity documents or sensitive files with the initial request. If verification is needed, ask about a suitable method.

Requests must be addressed within the time limits and under the conditions applicable to the type of request. Withdrawing consent or requesting deletion does not remove a separate legal obligation to retain or process information where the law provides one.

9. Updates to this policy

Changes to this policy are published on this page, with the content review date shown at the top. The policy is available in Vietnamese and English. Please contact us if you notice a difference that affects your understanding or request.

10. Send a privacy question or request

For questions, requests or complaints about personal data handled by Duong Tri Law, email contact@luatduongtri.vn with the subject Privacy request.

Tell us what you would like us to do and, if relevant, how you previously contacted us. Please do not attach identity documents or sensitive files at this stage.
